Dr Mrs C. O. Nwodo comes from Eha-Alumona, in Nsukka LGA of Enugu State. Had her primary and secondary education in Nsukka. She joined the services of the University of Port Harcourt September, 1981 with a BA in English Studies (1977) plus Master of Science in Library Science (1978) both from Villanova Universitsy, Pennsylvania. Holds MA (2002) and Ph.D (2008) both in English Studies from the University of Port Harcourt. She earlier had some work experience as a Youth Corper at University of Ife. Other places of work include; College of Arts and Sciences, Ile-Ife 1979. Taught English Language/Literature at Modakeke High School Ile-Ife in 1980. Worked as a Reference/Cataloguer in College of Education Library Rumuolumeni, in 1981.
Dr. (Mrs) Nwodo had several publications in reputable national/international journals as well as in books. Has also published indexes and bibliographies. Has grown through various Library Management positions, leading to the present appointment as the University Librarian of the University of Port Harcourt, in December, 2010. Is married to Prof. C S Nwodo formally of the Faculty of Humanities, University of Port Harcourt. They have four children and four grand children.
